The All Progressives Congress has taken another major step towards the 2027 general elections after completing the upload of all its governorship, deputy governorship and State House of Assembly candidates on the INEC Candidate Nomination Portal.

The party’s National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, announced the completion of the exercise in a statement issued on Friday.

Yilwatda said the APC had successfully uploaded all 56 governorship and deputy governorship candidates as well as 1,015 State Assembly candidates on the Independent National Electoral Commission platform.

He described the achievement as a significant milestone for the ruling party and congratulated its leaders, members and candidates across the country.

According to the APC chairman, completing the upload exercise showed the party’s organisational capacity and preparedness for the next phase of the electoral process.

He said the party would now redirect its attention towards engaging Nigerians as it begins preparations for the 2027 general elections.

Yilwatda added that the APC would use the period ahead to highlight the achievements of President Bola Tinubu’s administration while reaching out to voters across the country.

The latest development places the APC among the parties actively advancing their preparations for the next general elections as political activities continue to intensify.

The party said the successful completion of the candidate nomination process reflected its readiness for the next stage of the electoral process.
