President Bola Tinubu has pledged that pupils and teachers kidnapped from three schools in Oyo State will return safely, as he called on Nigerians to work closely with security agencies in tackling kidnapping and banditry.

Speaking in Ibadan during the reopening of the remodelled Premier Hotel, Tinubu assured residents that the Federal Government was mobilising every available resource to secure the release of the victims abducted in Oriire Local Government Area.

He said the administration had strengthened intelligence operations, expanded surveillance technology, improved cooperation among security agencies and increased investment in the nation’s security architecture to combat rising criminal activities.

The President appealed to citizens, traditional rulers and faith based organisations to assist security agencies through information sharing, stressing that lasting security requires collective action from every community.

Tinubu revealed that legislation designed to strengthen policing across the country was advancing in the National Assembly, adding that the reforms would further improve public safety when implemented.

Beyond security, the President praised the rehabilitation of Premier Hotel, describing it as proof that Nigeria could preserve historic assets while creating fresh opportunities for investment, tourism and employment.

He also urged investors to take advantage of ongoing economic reforms, saying government policies were laying the foundation for sustainable growth and making Nigeria more competitive for local and foreign businesses.

Governor Seyi Makinde, represented by Professor Misbau Babatunde, and Odu’a Investment Company Chairman Bimbo Ashiru described the restored hotel as a landmark project that reflects the South West’s rich history and renewed economic ambitions.
