Rotimi Amaechi has accused Nuhu Ribadu of engineering a stealthy political takeover, claiming the NSA is maneuvering to secure President Bola Tinubu’s victory in 2027 while secretly plotting his own 2031 presidential bid.

According to Amaechi, Ribadu’s moves are calculated to destabilize the African Democratic Congress, sowing internal divisions that could reshape the opposition landscape.

In a fiery radio interview, Amaechi dismissed claims that former Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai hacked the NSA’s phone, arguing that El-Rufai simply lacks the technical expertise. He suggested instead that the nation’s security apparatus is keeping a close eye on political figures behind the scenes.

Amaechi painted Ribadu’s strategy as a dual-track plan: on one hand, fortifying Tinubu’s path in 2027; on the other, quietly laying the groundwork for his own future presidential ambitions.

Warning against meddling with the electoral process, Amaechi said Ribadu should focus on his official duties, insisting that any attempt to manipulate elections would fail.

The accusations add fuel to Nigeria’s simmering political tensions as parties gear up for the 2027 polls, with the ADC facing fresh challenges from within and beyond.
