A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomhole, has said that resolving internal crises within opposition parties is not the responsibility of the ruling party.
Oshiomhole made the statement during an APC nationwide media chat while responding to criticisms directed at the party by opposition figures.
He explained that it would be inappropriate to expect the APC to manage the affairs of rival political parties or intervene in their internal disputes.
According to him, opposition parties must take full responsibility for addressing their challenges, although the APC is open to offering guidance where necessary.
He also dismissed claims that opposition parties lack financial strength compared to the ruling party, stating that access to resources is not limited to the APC.
Oshiomhole noted that the APC developed its structure during its time in opposition without relying on state resources.
He added that the party continues to fund its activities through internal contributions, particularly membership dues paid by both members and party workers.
