Minister of Works, David Umahi, has initiated legal proceedings against Tracy Ohiri over renewed claims that he owes her ₦280 million, insisting that the matter must be settled in court or supported with verifiable proof.

Ohiri had accused the Minister of failing to pay for campaign materials, a claim that gained traction across social media platforms.

She further alleged misconduct, including sexual harassment, intensifying public scrutiny of the dispute.

Authorities previously intervened in the matter, leading to her arrest and prosecution over the allegations.

Her lawyer, Marshall Abubakar, later facilitated a resolution attempt, during which she withdrew the claims and issued a public apology.

The calm was short-lived as Ohiri returned to social media and resumed the accusations against Umahi.

The Minister reiterated that he remains focused on his official duties while pursuing legal avenues to establish the truth.
